Location Search Report Update

location search report

An issue impacting location search report was reported by several users after our SaaS platform update earlier this week. We were able to locate and resolve the underlying issue. A new version was released within 24 hours of the initial report and updated on our SaaS platform in version 2502.25.01 which went live earlier today.

Location search reports are available with the Professional and Enterprise level subscriptions.

Location Search Report Update for WordPress Plugin Users

Users of the legacy WordPress plugins, notably the Power plugin, will also be impacted by this issue and should update their Store Locator Plus® plugin stack. It should be noted that the main Store Locator Plus® plugin will no longer automatically update due to changes with our WordPress.org plugin listing. You will need to go to the WordPress plugin store and download an updated version there. If you do not have a WordPress plugin store account you will need to create one.

Users of the SaaS platform do not need to do anything, the search location report updates are automatically available and activated as part of your SaaS subscription.

Ignore Radius Update

In addition to the location search report update, users that have set the Radius Behavior to Do Not Use under the Search settings had an issue with results not being returned. This issue was also patched in the 2502.25.01 release that went to production on our SaaS platform earlier today.

Users of the Experience plugin will be impacted as well. The same instructions noted above apply to downloading the latest version of Store Locator Plus® from the plugin store. Users of the SaaS platform do not need to do anything; software updates are automatically available and activated as part of your SaaS subscription.

Store Category Management Improvements

Store Locator Plus® was updated today with store category management improvements. Users reported an issue where the could not disassociate all store categories from a location. Assigning a store to a new category worked as expected, as did changing the category assigned to a location. The issue only appeared when trying to remove all category associates from a location.

Today’s updates resolves that issue and users can now disconnect all category references from a location.

Store Category Management

Store category management is a feature that is available to Professional or Enterprise level subscribers. It is enabled for WordPress plugin users with the Power add on.

Resolving The Issue

The issue impacts both SaaS platform and WordPress plugin users.

WordPress plugin users will need to upgrade to the latest version of the Power plugin to get the store category management improvements. Users with a SaaS subscription have been automatically updated to the improved experience.

Power v5.13 Addresses Location Categorization Issue

Version 5.13 of the Store Locator Plus® Power add on for WordPress plugins was released today.    The update is a minor one as we continue to clean up the WordPress plugin family.  Multiple updates are expected in the next few weeks in preparation for better SaaS integration , user experience improvements, and general feature improvements.

In Power v5.13

Add new location category was logging a warning about an undefined or null variable reference.   This has been resolved.

Power – On The Radar

For the WordPress plugins we are aware of an issue related to the SEO pages functionality and an array offset warning that comes up when creating an SEO page.   This is on the R&D schedule to be addressed in an upcoming release.   Current estimate is to have an update ready in less than 30 days.

Store Locator Plus® SaaS Impact

The issues resolved in Power 5.13 do not affect functionality or performance of the MySLP SaaS platform.   As such the updates included here will be published in combination with other updates in a future upgrade to the MySLP platform.
